2. Incorrect grammar and spelling errors
3. Falsifying or exagerrating information.
4. Including a phone number that is no longer in service.
Sloppiness
1. Mailing crumbled, ripped or food stained resumes.
2. Applying liquid paper to cover your errors.
3. Printing a resume on brightly colored paper or with hard-to-read fonts.
4. Using the closing statement, "References Available Upon Request."
Including Irrelevant Information
1. Writing reference information on your resume.
2. Listing hobbies, personal statistics or using photos.
3. Making reference to your age, race, marital status, religion, health or politics.
Being Long-Winded or Unclear
1. Allowing your resume to read like a book.
2. Writing long, cumbersome sentences.
3. Exercising personal pronouns such as "me and I."
4. Using obscure abbreviations or acronyms.
Dumb Mistakes
1. Writing "resume" on the top of your resume.
2. Explaining the reasons why you were terminated from a job.
